"Atlantis"

Label: Metal Heaven

TNT does not need any particular references, as a band it is known as a Hard rock icon of the 80’s και 90’s. Although the line up is not the original one and only the guitarist and the drummer have remained. But the change that meant the end of an era for the TNT was the replacement of Tony Harnel from Tony Mills (ex-SHY).

The “Atlantis” is the second release of the band with Tony Mills on vocals and from the first hearing I could characterize it as radical open minded. The style of the music doe not have to do anything with the past, fact that made me (as a die-hard fan of TNT) to wonder; is that what I expected? The answer is no, but it surprised me in the best way. It is quite logical for any artist to evolve and mature. In our case the   “Atlantis” is the most musically mature cd of their career!

The tracks distinguish for the accurate performing and production, the clever built couplets and the “bridges” that lift the band to a higher level, escaping from the usual cliche of Hard Rock. Personally, I found similarities with the style of Beatles, Rush & Queen combined with their own unique style.

Ronnie Le Tekro does not need to prove anything about his playing in order to be established as a guitar hero. He is a guitar hero and that is something we all know, therefore there is no need for extravagance shredding. All the guitars are perfectly performed giving the best to every track with mature and ‘clever‘ performing. Tony Mills has made the perfect fit in with the band and gives his best creating his own chapter in the history of TNT.

For the history, I will name you some tracks that make a difference in this release and these are: “Hello Hello”, “Me And My Dad”, “Bottle Of Wine”, “Baby’s Got A Rhythm”.

In general this is a very strong comeback from TNT, who returns to the music stardom with new ideas and new melodies.
