U.D.O.
"Infected"
Label: AFM Records
The legendary voice of Accept, Udo Dirkschneider, as every time before a new studio album, releases with his band U.D.O. the very interesting EP through AFM Records . Titled “Infected”, the EP and features 3 new unreleased songs, 2 of which will not be included in the full length album, a remix of “Platchet Soldat” and a live track from the band’s last appearance in Moscow during their previous tour. The EP begins, as expected, with the title track “Infected” which we had the chance to hear first at Solid Rock’s party in May. A heavy metal dynamite which could easily fit every classic Accept LP. “Infected” will be included in the new studio album “Dominator”, in contrary with the other 2 new songs, “Systematic Madness” and “Bodyworld”, which are destined only for this EP. Both of them are very good songs, although not as good as “Infected”, and the fact that they were chosen as b-sides could be a message that the new studio album will be killer. The EP continues in very high levels with the Russian version of “Cry Soldier Cry”, titled “Platchet Soldat”, an amazing ballad that we first found in the Russian version of “Mastercutor”. If we make a comparison to Manowar’s latest effort to translate a track in 15 languages, U.D.O. will walk away with the prize although attempting it in just one language. Fifth and last song of the EP, is the live version of “Poezd Po Rossi”, known as “Trainride In Russia”, recorded in Moscow, where the fully powered participation of the crowd makes this recording simply amazing. For EP’s or singles buyers, this one is strongly recommended as the 4 unreleased songs will have a good reason of existing in your record collection apart from completing the discography of former singer of Accept, unique Udo Dirkschneider..
