"A Farewell To Arms"
Label: Metal Heaven
What if Tony Harnell left the stage four years ago, what if their two previous albums are far from what the average fan considers as interesting, what if Harnell’s replacement Tony Mills was almost left for dead in the Oslo airport transit. TNT seem to be totally unaffected by such shortcomings and this is the “living” proof. Their new album “A Farewell To Arms”, with its titled decided right after Tony Mills’s collapsus, is unexpectedly good (taking their previous two in consideration) and exactly what the band needs to move further on. This is an album of a somehow double aspect. One is a hard/heavy thing referring back to their root years while the other is a more melodic, a more friendly one, calling back to their career after the first 2-3 albums, however both of those aspects are entwined in such a way so that they do not contradict each other. Obviously in high spirits, the Norwegians are back with an album that fits nicely in their discography. And even if they do not hold an army of fans in Greece (and are probably unlikely to start conscripting now), with this album they’ll never disappoint anybody. This is a good album worth checking out.
