According to Billboard.com, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, guitarist Brad Whitford , bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer have been working for a week now with the band’s longtime collaborator Marti Frederiksen on material for a new album.

According to Frederiksen’s statement, Perry was unable to attend due to some other unspecified commitment.
