Joe Perry had told the Classic Rock magazine that Steven Tyler will remain a member of Aerosmith even though a new singer will be brought in.

He also said that they’re taking it as if Tyler’s taking a vacation from Aerosmith and that while he’s away working on other projects, the rest of the band will carry on playing live bringing in another singer. Of course, Steven Tyler can come back anytime he wants, and Perry believes it will be a lot sooner than the two years has said it will be.
