Nightwish keyboardist/mainman Tuomas Holopainen has issued a post according to which the band is starting work on new songs for their upcoming album, the follower to 2007’s “Dark Passion Play”.
The guys only (without Anette, who will join the camp a little later) have already come together in the deepest countryside of Finland chilling out and catching up. Holopainen says that he has 12 songs completed now and that he is still working with some lyrics. He also says that the band, like before, will record a demo once the songs are arranged, to listen to and to perfect the material. The actual date the band will enter the studio is October 15th, however Olzon will only deliver her vocal recordings in 2011, due to her currently expecting to give birth to her second child.
