Before I start saying anything else about this live event, I think that we should all at first place congratulate the promoters for this excellent production in all ways, from the service at the ticket boxes to the punctuality of the bands’ appearances. Our congratulations is the least that we can say. The reason I insist on this is because we shouldn’t always complain about the promoters but also give credits when it is necessary.

So, at around 19:30 Hannibal came on stage, cooler than in their previous lives, and made a good start for the crowd. The band delivered Ramstein’s “Du Hust” as well as two AC/DC covers and there’s no need to mention that those were the highlights of their show especially “Thunderstruck”! In general, that was more than simply a decent appearance.

The time was 21:00 when Whitesnake appeared in front of the greek auience for the third time ever...and last one...(?).. With a different line up than in their previous appearances (a different rhythm section actually), the band found the crowd ready to party...which didn’t lack some problems. The setlist of the band was not the expected one...I mean that Coverdale and his gang included quite a few new songs from their new album that was released last spring but the crowd didn’t get excited about that. Neither did the band though, especially when they played some of the old stuff! Coverdale’s voice was definitely not at its best – the background vocals were even louder.. Despite all that and despite how tiring it became at one point, we should all simply express and show the necessary respect against such figures like Coverdale and bands in general.

The time had come for our anxiety to end and that was when the Leps took over the stage. What a hell of a party!! They started with “Rocket” and made everybody jumping all over. The sound was great, the band was in a great mood and their setlist, that included mostly old and just a couple of new songs, turned out the ideal one!

def-leppard-kissadjekians1.jpgLove Bites” was the first highlight of the Leps, but what happened during the “Animal”, "Pour Some Sugar On Me", "Armageddon It" and especially "Rock of Ages" was almost unreal and words just can’t describe it! How can I not mention that rock named Rick Savage that gave an excellent self on stage as well as Rick Allen’s performance on drums, which was so emotive...awesome job dude!!! The band said goodnight with "Let’s Get Rocked" and we all left the stadium with a big smile on our face...I don’t think that anyone expected such a huge show!!

Once again, credits belong to the people who brought this band to our country and allow me to wish: more power to your elbow!!!!!
