"Star Spangled Nights"

Label: Showtime

Yet another release by Show Time, this time taken from a 2002 Bruce Springsteen gig in New York and the Hayden Planetarium.

This is a show of no real importance, no real interest, of average image quality and a rather inadequate sound quality, just a few songs (only ten, obviously this show was not filmed in its entirety, based on the way that the film starts) and the result qualifies this as a totally unnecessary publication.

Of course, Springsteen and band’s (not the E-Street guys I might add) performance is far from average and it does serve their reputation quite to the point. It is just that you cannot fit anything into a ten-cut-only set, nothing substantial out of a forty-year career with so many hits and loved melodies.

There are so many Springsteen live shows available out there and most of them (even some bootlegs) are of a far better value when it comes to content, sound and image quality and materialization, therefore there, really, no point in bothering with this release.
