Brutal Truth
"Evolution Through Revolution"
Label: Relapse
When Brutal Truth, one of the most extreme bands ever to walk on earth, disbanded ten years ago, they named their double live album “Goodbye Cruel World”! The irony stands for the fact that a lot of people are into grindcore opposite to what was going on back in 1999! The band, initially, came back for two splits and a live but there were a lot of fan demands for a proper, full-length effort. The album is full of wrath and disgust about the contemporary, political and social status of their country. Their style has evolved once more without diverging from their established blasts and pauses. You can distinguish “Sugardaddy”, “Attack Dog” and “Global Good Guy” but this is an album to be heard all together! Any musical innovation here is totally adjusted to sound like Brutal Truth. With a new guitarist (Erik Burke) but their usual temper for demolishing music, “Evolution Through Revolution” is filled with rabid grindcore that will test a lot headbangers. It’s not as majestic as “Extreme Conditions…” or perfect like “Need To Control” but more of a bestiality that can stare “Sounds…” in the eyes fearlessly! Roll it, light it and off you go! |
