Disturbing Foresights
"De-Grunged"
Label: Deity Down
Netherlands’s Disturbing Foresights are out of action for the last 14 years. “De-Grunged” is their ‘lost’ album from 1993 that Deity Down decided to release after so long. Probably Gerard De Konink was a fan of the band back then… The band plays an, extremely, worn out, crossover between hardcore / punk and –let’s say- thrash metal. Unfortunately, they remain unconvincing and lack one, at least, good song; they only have a few, good moments. The vocals seem to wander for no reason and the riffs end up nowhere. One could see a poor relevance with M.O.D. and in spite they know how to play their instruments, they manage to make their genre sound unable to get us moving! Even if this CD had a chance back in 1993, it wouldn’t reach similar, American efforts. It doesn’t have power grooves, aggression or up-tempo feeling. Like you describe something… thrash-less! |
