Hardcore Superstar
"Beg For it"
Label: Nuclear Blast
Two years after the super successful “Dreamin In A Casket”, Swedish Hardcore Superstar come back to shake up the music industry action with a new ‘dynamite’! Ladies and gentlemen…”Beg For It”…Lets start from where the band left off two years ago…Silver, the band’s guitarist back then signified that he was too tired from all the recordings and tour and left the band. We were all very curious about what the band’s choice would be for a new guitarist and the news broke quite soon. Much promising Vic Zino left another band, Crazy Lixx, in order to join Hardcore Superstar. It is just reasonable that we couldn’t wait to hear the result of this collaboration. We shouldn’t forget to mention that the band has changed label and moved to Nuclear Blast. As far as the musical part of the record…The album kicks off with “This Worm’s For Ennio”, an acoustic song that in a way pays tribute to Ennio Morricone, something that hardly anyone would see coming in a Hardcore Superstar cd. The follow-up is sharper and aggressive with tracks such as “Beg For It”, “Into Debauchery”, “Shades Of Grey” and “Nervous Breakdown”. The rhythm slows down with the exceptional “Hope For A Normal Life” and there we find the ‘substitute’ of “We Don’t Celebrate Sundays Anymore”, no other than “Don’t Care About Your Bad Behavior”. The party continues with Remove My Brain”, “Spit It Out”, “Illegal Fun”, “Take ‘Em All Out” to close up with “Innocent Boy”. Not a single moment does the freshness of the band go away. The Swedish have definitely delivered an amazing production for this album, their new guitarist is doing a great job and the plain simple cover artwork just shows that when someone and something worth it, too much ‘fandangle’ is unnecessary. Hardcore Superstar are here and will be for a long time giving us some really good music. |
