Ground Mower

"S/T"

Label: Casket

Ground Mower is a brand, new, Swedish group consisting of Magnus Arnar (vocals), Richard Bång (ex-Facedown - drums / percussion), Jonas Wigstad (guitar / harmonica) and Tomas Marklund (bass guitar / vocals). They are together since 2004 and it’s a gang of people with different musical influences and likes.

Their first album is like a jam among Transport League, The Bronx Casket Co., Gruntruck, Soundgarden, under the guidance of Floodgate! Especially, Mange reminds of Chris Cornell sometimes without creating a copy suspicion. The main influences, however, are still Metallica (Black album and later), Motörhead, and Kyuss, who are responsible for the correct placing of: heavy, metallic guitars, enormous rhythm section and production, memorable refrains and intensity! All tracks are of very high quality without a single mediocre moment.

This self-titled album  is an album – proof that this heavy rock / groove metal style has more to offer. Psychograndmamas DJ team should listen to them immediately and add them in the Mo Better playlists for Thursdays!
