The Source

"S/T"

Label: I For An I

The Source is a new Greek band, involved in thrash metal. Three members from the disbanded act of Negative Creeps are responsible and due to their experience and PR they have appeared live many times, one of those was support to Danish deathsters Illdisposed.

The band has a wide variety in influences which starts from classics like Slayer and ends to modern acts of the genre such as The Haunted. They have very few elements of their past as Negative Creeps and a few moments from the Swedish death metal. They try hard not to sound like others and their guitars are well worked in this direction.
Throw Out The PigsandBringing Out The Dead are personal favorites. As far as the sound matter, their production is good without being anything ‘over the top’ or something destructive for the album.

The main issue is that this is much better than the mediocre (and very bad on stage) Negative Creeps. It seems that Makis (vocals), JB (guitars) and Tomek (drums) are better when they raise the tempo. It’s not a waste of time if you check them out.
