Lamb Of God
"Wrath"
Label: Roadrunner Records
The ‘unkown’ back then Burn The Priest were formed in 1990 in Richmond Virginia, USA, and after the precious guide lines of Colin Richardson and Steve Austin and the arrival of the guitarist Willie Adler (their first guitarist had left), they changed their name to the now famous and popular Lamb Of God.
It is a band that either you love it or you ignore it…Lamb of God after their successful ‘Sacrament’, they released their fifth full length album titled “Wrath” on 24th of February 2009, keeping basic elements such as grind, thrash and death sound. The album named “Wrath” was released and labeled by Epic Roadrunner Records. “Wrath” was produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in New Hampshire studios, Virginia.
The album is characterized by a ‘thrasier’ sound than the past and it is an amalgamation of Pantera and Machine Head sound. The riffs are incredible sharpened and possessed by evil spirit from guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, while Chris Adler once again kicks our asses with his amazing drumming!! Randall Blythe also surprises us with his characteristic brutal vocals enriched this time with some melodic parts (although not really clear ones).
“Wrath” is indeed a big surprise and I agree with what Chris Adler said, that “we have topped ourselves”. Gift this album to yourselves.. |
