Hellsaw
"Cold"
Label: Napalm Records
When one sees Napalm Records on the back sleeve can never be happy. Last time they put out something decent was about 3 years ago with an awesome debut by Ahab. Austria’s Hellsaw can’t change things with their third CD; probably one of the label’s own discoveries, since they are also based in the same country.
The band is part of the traditional black metal, determined in the 90s by the Scandinavians. They are so typical and non-thinkers and unfortunately, they can’t hide it. Do titles such as “A Suicide Journey”, “The Black Death”, “Sulphur Prayer” remind you of something??? They make us think we are dumb, clueless or they’re just so innocent that don’t even feel guilty when you hear whole parts of songs by past, Norwegian bands! They don’t play bad; it’s just pointless.
Boring black metal is offered by Hellsaw in one more of their albums. Why someone who likes this Norwegian type of black metal should lose 47 minutes for the ‘poor relatives’ from Graz?
