The Eyes Of Traitor

"A Clear Perception"

Label: Listenable Records

In the dawn of an era that metal scene has overran by labels and branch such as metalcore, mathcore, dethcore, etc., with US as a pioneer of a New Wave Metal scene and a numerous of bands trying to distinguish by their skills, the UK has something new to offer: The Eyes Of A Traitor.

From UK Hertfordshire 5 youngsters (Jack Delany -vocals, Matthew Pugh
και Steve Whitworth-guitars, Paul Waudby-bass ,Sam Brennen-drums), after being picked up by UK underground label Thirty Days Of Night records and a failed promo "By Sunset" they sign with Listenable records in winder 2009 and show us  their  creativity.

The “A Clear Perception”, their debut full length album, is an amalgamation of metalcore -if someone wants to use labels -full of progressive heavy factors, sharp melodic riffs and frequent changes. These are enriched with the screamed glowing death vocals (in a way like Michael Olender from Burnt By The Sun) combined with the clear one, like Corey Taylor’s, and the result is a polymorphic album full of harmonically elements. The album starts with the powerful “Under Siege” and continues with 9 songs with the best “Escape These Walls” and “Echoes” full of solo and arpeggio and it ends with the instrumental “A Clear Perception”. So, they escape from their first experimental approach (see Bloodshed from By Sunset) which is more familiar to bands such as As Blood Runs Black, Despised Icon, Job for a Cowboy, All Shall Perish etc.

The Eyes Of A Traitor in contrast to their youth are such a band that have a bright future. They just have gained independent tours covering UK and Europe. We'll see…
