"Level C"

Label: Locomotive

Level C is an all female band from Cleveland, Ohio with 6 years in life. Their self-titled debut is a clear reference to the previous decade and what was established as American metal and seems like well-prepared.

They play a quite heavy and groovy hard/heavy metal without leaving any room for doubts about their aggression. The girls have a sound with a huge variety of influences from the American heavy/thrash but also from many acts of the contemporary metal movement. They use their melody lines in correct portions among the tracks and often create explosive mood changes. They sound tight the best in moments like “Chain Reaction”, “Back To My”, “Blackout” and “Suck A Fist”, probably the CD’s strongest. The rest of the tracks are not that good but not what you’d call fillers.

This band is automatically turned into a big hope for the future with this appearance since it avoids all immediate comparisons with other stuff. So there is increased anticipation for their next work.
