If there is a band in the world we could define as “Beer metal”, that would be definitely Tankard! Before you blame me of trying to put “labels” in metal, I would like to explain that I was just trying to emphasize the hilarious and special way of the band to praise beer drinking and eternal fun!

Tankard are with us again with their catchy thrash riffs and their endless humor. “Thirst” is a pure old-school thrash album, which is more classically orientated than some of their recent previous albums. It contains well played solos, memorable choruses and a clean production, which adds a positive characteristic to their sound. Songs that step out are : “Stay Thirsty”, “Hyperthermia”, G.A.L.O.W”,”When Daddy Comes to Play”, “Zodiac Man”. In this album the lyrics of Tankard are not purely fan orientated like we were used to, but they also show us that they are socially sensitive, with songs like: “When Daddy Comes To Play”, and also some epic tendencies with “G.A.L.O.W.” Of course the hilarious moments could not be absent, like the priceless “Sexy Feet  Under”.

If you like Tankard or the old schools melodic thrash in general, there is no way you are not going to like this album. The band’s performance is in high standards in all sectors and the only thing you are going to need is big amounts of beer!
