This is the best album for this black/thrash act from Belgium. They are really rabid, they beat like there’s no tomorrow and open this album with an aggressive yell!
Their influences are –well guessed- totally Norwegian in the likes of Aura Noir, Infernö but even more black metal oriented stuff while the guitar sound might bring some Destruction memories in mind. The album production is as clear as it should be for this sound in my opinion and it offers the band a lot in the old-school direction they seem to pursue. The band members are deep into the underground scene of their country with roles in several bands like Thronum, Vrondor, Iconoclasm, Paragon Impure etc., known only to black metal collectors. This is a proof of their knowledge in their kind since they’ve been playing for more than 10 years.
You shouldn’t look for novelties or the album of the year with this CD. The cruel and cold attitude of the tracks, with not many differences from one to the other, will make some black metal fans happy (despite the somewhat funny titles) for about 45 minutes. It’s not something I will listen to in the future though...
