‘Random Walk’ is a local band formed 3 years ago. “Redemption” is their first work and is described as gothic/metalcore! I can see my temper rising along with all thinking readers and trust me we are all completely right in this case!

The quintet has nothing to do with this description. It might remind you of the catchy moments of ‘Katatonia’, ‘Tiamat’ or ‘Septic Flesh’ (I still see no gothic, I don’t know if someone does…) and some ‘Swan Christy (remember them?) but not good enough. The vocals are ridiculous when he tries to growl and are bad when pretend to be ‘gothic’. Their childish image, demo like production, are escorted by a bio that I’d better not have read. Sorry guys but I didn’t get any ‘threatening spasms on my ego’ by your tracks.

Enough said. Good for them that on www.myspace.com/randomwalkband they have a download link for this album and a nice layout but that’s it. All girls that enjoy the melodic rock/metal of the bands mentioned or ‘Lacuna Coil’, ‘Within Temptation’ (minus the female voice) etc. maybe should listen to this. The rest move to the next review…
