Planet Hard is a dynamic quartet from Italy which is consisted from τους Marco Sivo (Vocals), Marco “Dandy” D’Andrea (Guitars), Alex Furia (Bass) and Steve Arrigoni (drums). They are mainly influenced from the US hard rock scene and mainly from Skid Row, Motley Crue & Whitesnake.

The release contains 10 tracks in various forms of Hard rock that show with characteristic way the aforementioned influences of the band. What impressed me from the start are the vocals of Marco, who without having a high range scale vocals, he has the suitable performance in every track, that street sleaze attitude that raises the standard and makes the track memorable to the listener. The guitars are well performed, but in my opinion, the sound appears to be a little bit more vintage than it should be so the tracks have a feeling of “emptiness”.

The production of the cd needed more work in order to have the final result justifying the band. They seem to have work a lot and if you ask for my opinion they deserve that recognition. Additionally I would like to mention that the tracks are performed with lots of energy and freshness from the performers, but what that release misses is the memorable choruses which is a must for that kind of music.

In general this is a very good try that convinced me for a better continuance from the band in the future.
