Midnite Club
"Circus Of Life"
Label: Musicbuymail
This is the first release for the German band Midnight Club. A band that is consisted by musicians who are great performers. It is worth mentioning that their guitarist Steffen Seeger has been a student of the virtuoso Joey Tafolla so we get a clue for what we should expect. While Lizzard‘s voice is charismatic and characteristic even it is not of a high range, additionally the rest of the instruments perform in a very good level.
The release has a very good production and leaves the listener with a very good taste. The liking of the band is Hard rock, with catchy couplets and nice harmonies. Personally speaking, I can make a resemblance with the release of Tony Mac Alpine’s “Eyes of the World” to be more accurate.
The first track is the “Circus”, lots of power and energy following the classic paths of Hard rock while the next one is the track “Afraid of Love” which in my opinion is the best of the release and it left me with the best of impressions for the work of Midnight Club. Additionally, very good is the track “Behind My Eyes”, but the really pleasant surprise was the cover of “Danger Zone” from the soundtrack of Top Gun, while the “Memories For Sale” is a very fine moment as it combines lots of performing and composing.
In general this is a very good release, but it misses only one thing, a hit single that could push the band to the next level of success. So, we are supporting and waiting for the next move. |
