Motorhead

"Motorizer"

Label: SPV

Motorhead is a band that definitely needs no reference. Everyone involved with this music genre, even the least possible, knows exactly what to expect from the famous old metal, or according to others rock n ‘roll dogs. The company of Lemmy Kilmister, Mickey Dee και Phil Campbell is offering us their 20th   full length album (24th according to their official site, since they obviously include their live albums too), what we were all waiting for, and what they know so well to do during all these years! Dirty rock n’ roll – heavy made for endless beer drinking and wild parties! The production is once again by Cameron Webb, also Producer of their latest 2 albums, who has added clarity to their sound, a part missing from older releases, but without reducing at all the heaviness and the power of the tracks.

I think words mean nothing when we deal with heavy weights like Motorhead, who are honoring us by releasing albums with passion and love for what they do, as if they were still at the beginning of their carrier. All of the tracks are really remarkable, with a specific preference to: “Rock Out” (which will be soon a new hit at metal clubs, mark my words!) “Heroes”, “Runaround Man”, “the Thousand Names of God”, “Buried Alive”, “English Rose”, “Back On The Chain”. The compositions are tighter than ever, Mickey Dee is the definition of the sheer heavy metal drummer, while Phil Campbell’s solos sound more melodic and fitting than ever before! Lemmy seems to go through a very creative phase of his career, as much as the performance and the musical and lyrical creativity are concerned.

If you are waiting for something different and experimental in the metal circles, you can simply pass by this album. But for those of you who know their infamous moto: “We are Motorhead and we play rock n ‘roll” you already know where you stand and you will proceed with no hesitation!
