Michael Vescera
"A Sign of Things To Come"
Label: Metal Heaven
I don’t know what to bring to mind first from an amazing career such as Michael Vescera’s . Obsession, Loudness, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, and many more co operations with great musicians. What we have here is basically his first solo album, as it is not going to be released as an MVP (Michael Vescera Project) album.
Excitement rises as the first riffs of “Between Heaven And Hell” reach my ears. Then the distinctive voice of Michael comes and the result is good, believe me.. very good. 4 years after his last work, he sounds refreshed, inspired, with great compositions to prove that such as “Shine On”, “Hands Of Fate”, and the mellow “(When You ‘re) Crying ”. A very important thing to mention is the really good production that was done by Michael himself in Toy Room North (Milford, Connecticut) and the Toy Room South (Nashville, TN) studios that he co-owns. Along with him are members from Obsession, House of Lords, Y.J. Malmsteen, Jeff Scott Soto, and also 2 very young and impressive guitarists that we should look out for in the future, Joey Concepcion, a 17 year old from Connecticut, and Ango Tasso, a newly discovered guitar virtuoso from Taiwan.
“A Sign Of Things To Come” is a very good Heavy Metal album from one of the greatest and distinguished voices of the genre. My opinion is that, apart from the fans of Michael Vescera, any metal fan will find a certain interest in this record. Invest without fear my friends. |
