Sabaton
"The Art Of War"
Label: Black Lodge
New album from Swedish band Sabaton under the title “The Art of War”, and as you may already suspect by the title, this is an epic/heavy band with reference to anything that has to do with war. In this case, “The Art of War” is based on the title book of Chinese Sun Tzu (544 – 496 B.C.) about war strategy. With this new album “The Art of War”, Sabaton prove them selves not only as a good epic metal band, but as a “war machine” that literally “kills”! The album opens with “Ghost Division” that blows your head at once taking away the slightest reserve and laying down a seriously representative piece of the style of the band and the album as well. Then comes the title track “The Art of War” that along with the powerful “40:1”, “Cliffs of Gallipoli”, “Union (Slopes of St. Benedict)”, “The Price of A Mile” and the aforementioned “Ghost Division” are the best moments of the album. I would say that the entire album is stamped with high quality compositions. “The Art of War” is a well-done album starting from its massive production to the artwork and to the very songs, an epic album under a non random title… Respond boldly to the call of Sabaton and taste “The Art of War”! |
