Pleasure Dome
"For Your Personal Amusement"
Label: Escape Music
Ted Poley is well known in melodic hard rock / A.O.R.. scene. He has already some successful albums with Danger Danger as their frontman, but also as a solo artist up to his latest release “Collateral Damage”. On the other hand, Ed Avila and Charlie Calve are among others responsible for Shotgun Symphony’s debut cd.. When all of them put their forces together, the result can be nohing else than a successful album, while the band is called Pleasure Dome.
In the album we find 12 super tracks, the one better than the other. The introduction comes with “For Your Personal Amusement” followed by “Trapped”. “One And Only” is the nect dynamic melody in all ways and the fifth track “Praying For A Miracle” is also a wonderful ballad song. As I have already mentioned, I can’t tell the one from the other song, they are all great. However, if I had to choose I would say the eleventh track entitled “(Who Will) Save The World”, with its powerful guitars, wonderful vocal lines (what else could it be from Poley), great keyboards and tight base-drum section.
The album was produced by Charlie Calv in New Jersey (USA) amd the mixing was made by Martin Kronlund in Gothenburg, Sweden.
A must have cd for all the fans of melodic hard rock that will be absolutely satisfied once they get it. |
