Cavalera Conspiracy

"Inflikted"

Label: Roadrunner Records

“The Boys are Back in town” and we sure hope that’s for long. Cavalera brothers are united after a long time and they are back with a release that guarantees to blow your mind.

So, if you worshipped “Arise” and “The Prophecy” it is sure that you will be extremely satisfied with “Inflicted” and you will be listening to it for a long time .

Max and Igor, with the help of Marc Rizzo (Soulfly / Ill Nino) on the guitars and Joe Duplantier (guitars / vocalist of Gojira) on the bass, have created an extreme metal masterpiece, an album that brings us to mind the great Sepultura era. The album begins with “Inflikted” that was written for the next Soulfly album (which is due for a release on 2
9 July) and it is sounds like a Soulfly classic. We have songs like “Sanctuary”, so aggressive and row that take us back to the days of “Arise”. The riffs here are more technical than everything Sepultura and Soulfly have ever done before. “Dark Ages” is also a song that I could say it comes straight out of the “Chaos A.D”. In a few words, if you are a fan of Sepultura of the Max era and Soulfly is one of your favorite bands this cd must be already in your hands.

Note
1: Joe Duplantier helped on the songwriting and plays rhythm guitar on “Inflikted”, “Dark Ages” and “Ultra Violent” while also he sings in the first two of these songs.

Note 2: I would rather prefer a Sepultura reunion but I can keep dreaming that and wait for the day.
