"Strange Ang3ls"

"Label: AOR Heaven

A new album for a guitarist thathas moved around and worked with a lot of people but never did something distinctive himself. With the contributions of musicians like Göran Edman (Talisman, Y. Malmsteen, John Norum) and John Payne (Asia) and also that of Oliver Wakeman (YES), British guitarist Pearce releases his debut solo album titled Strange Ang3ls.

Strange Ang3ls is nothing more than highly regular AOR, very well performed however nothing special compositionally and quite out of time in style with several of its tracks sounding very alike, which makes it even less interesting. Somehow interesting are Alone I Cry and Eden Is Burning but that’s all it has to offer.

It might sound more interesting to the die-hard AOR collectors.
