"Runnin Wild"

Label: EMI

When ever a rock fan hears Australia, the first thing that comes in his mind is AC/DC, but as it seems, according to the aforementioned cd, here comes Airbourne.

“Runnin Wild”
is the second cd of the bandthe previous release was in 2004. So, as soon as I pushed the play button of my cd player the first notes of “Stand Up For Rock 'N' Roll" tricked me for a while since I believed for a moment that they were playing something like epic themes. But the firing riff and rhythm left me breathless, the energy that arises is countless and soon enough the listener starts headbanging, yeah!! You are right, it feels like the one and only… AC/DC.

Airbourne is consisted of four musicians: Joel O'Keeffe (vocals/lead guitar), Ryan O'Keeffe (drums)
, David Roads (guitar), Justin Street (bass guitar). They play boogie rock in the vein of our beloved band but in a slightly modern way - the vocals, the guitars and the rhythm are the ones that we all loved. The rest of the release is as good as the beginning, just for the record some titles are: “Too Much, Too Young, Too Fas”, "Girls in Black», "Heartbreaker" and so it goes, while the lyrics are simple: Rock & Roll, Party till you drop!!!

Finally I would like to mention that
"Runnin' Wild" & "Blackjack" were included in the soundtracks of: Sports video game Madden 08 & Need for Speed: ProStreet and NFL Tour respectively.

This fine release is suggested with no doubts at all! Keep on Rockin’!
