Sideburn

"Jail"

Label: Metal Heaven

This is the fifth album for the Swedish Sideburn that may not be particularly famous, however they have to boast contributions to both American TV shows (24) and video games (RockBand 3).

Their music is simple and easy to approach and is nothing more than a repetition of the classic AC/DC recipe however so absolute that is very very familiar but also proves to be totally, utterly predictable. Honestly, there is not one song in this album to create real interest since every chord, every rhythm, every lyric is something you’ve heard before in its entirety.

To put things straight, the songs are well performed, jaunty and roll easily, Beau Hill’s production stands up to his heights and, in total, this album won’t disappoint. Simply put, though, if you want to listen to AC/DC, well…they’re still out there, you know…
