Moonspell
"Night Eternal"
Label: SPV
The world has come to an end, all is ruined, all is destroyed, there’s just emptiness, total blackness, total darkness: “Night Eternal”.
To be honest with you, I stopped listening to Moonspell’s music at “Darkness And Hope”, but due to their return to the past from the “Memorial” album and with this new release I have become again a member of their group of fans. This trip, that the music of the band takes us in its own poetic way, into one of the greatest fears and nightmares of mankind, it is just great.
For a long time I had been waiting for a release like this. I was surprised with the entering of the first note till the last sound of this work. Everything is great, from the artwork to the smallest detail. I tried hard to find something wrong but there is nothing to say for a masterpiece like this.
With Waldemar Sorychta at the pre-production and then on with the top producer Tue Madsen, the result was guaranteed to be fantastic. Aggressive and clear vocals (Fernando has an amazing voice), dark and romantic atmosphere, I just can find the words to describe it. What song can you separate from the rest? None! All songs have their own beauty, from “Night eternal” to “Scorpion Flower” and “Dreamless” not even one will disappoint you.
So we have the return of Moonspell to their roots with the best way it can be. In a few words if you are a Monnspell fan or not I am sure you will worship this release is simply an amazing piece of art.
