2008 looks like it’s going to be a good year for hard rock and this is something I can tell not by the quantity of the releases, which is anyway almost the same as every year, but by th equality of most of them. Another new group that presents its second album is french Shannon with their album "Angel In Disguise", where they deliver a good piece of work. In the vein of 80’s hard rock style, Shannon vary among Firehouse, Gotthard, Fair Warning, Treat, Jaded Heart, Dokken, with good compositions “dressed” in a good mood.

Opening track "Do You Know?" is pretty good but the rest is even better and this is something we get with "Hungry For Love", a step closer to the best part yet to come. Olivier Del Valle’s voice fits right the compositions and the colours of it join the “nasty” melodic rock style. The above mentioned songs alomg with "Winter Night" are the standouts of the album, although the album in its entirety keeps the high level of the songs and doesn’t become boring.

In a few words, Shannon have made it to deliver a really good –80’s hard rock style- album that has indeed a reason to exist and gives the fans of the genre what they want.
