The Two Fires is a Kevin Chalfant and John Ramos project initiated by Frontiers records back in 2000. Quite ambitious in its concept and including some important sontributors, the likes o f Kenny Aronoff (Jon Bon Jovi, John Cougar Mellencamp) and Jim Peterik (Survivor, Pride Of Lions), they released their first album and achieved some excellent reviews and quite some success.

Two Fires return today with a new album and a new lineup (it is still a Frontiers project), with songs written by Chaflant along with musicians like Neil Schon (Journey) and Gregg Rolie (Journey, Santana, The Storm).

Faithfull to the project’s mandate, Chaflant returns with a classic AOR collection of songs and steps forward from where he stopped with the first Two Fores album, even without John Ramos for this specific incarnation.

Eleven tracks with distinctive chorus melodies, vocals which, once more, are reminiscent of Steve Perry, sounds out of the best of the best (Survivor, Journey, Stan Bush) and a clean cut, classic AOR sound production.

In total, Burning Bright is a quite agreeable album for all AOR fans, with its nice songs, good performance and nice melodies.
