Reckless Love
"S/T"
Label: Universal
January 20, 2006, was the mourning day for Crash Diet’s Dave Leppard’s loss. One year after that and January 22nd, 2007, the band discovered a singer named Olliver Twisted. They recorded their second album Unattractive Collection which received controversial reviews. Maybe the burden theband carries after such an incident was too big. In any case, it is now July 13, 2008 and Olliver Twisted departed from Crashdiet and returned to the band he started from. The Finnish Reckless Love…and oh my did he choose well!!! Having released their 2006 EP titled “Speed Princess”, the band went on hiatus because of what happened with Crashdiet. Nevertheless, with Olli’s return they got into recording again and playing gigs once more and this album is the result. It’s been quite a while since I last listened to such a good specimen of glam rock with exceptional choruses, not being able to select a favorite song. I’d be blunt enough to say that the “weakest” one might be the video single “Beautiful Bomb”. I’d alsofavorite “Back To Paradise” a song too similar to “I Was Made For Loving You” (KISS). It’s not a copy, really, just a bit too close. This album is recommended to fans of Danger Danger, KISS, Poison, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and the elite of the kind. I should exclaim the fresh production and sound and the very nice artwork (on the inlay). Thumbs Up it is for Reckless Love and this is an album that can excite people. I cinclude by saying that Olliver made his best move by leaving Crashdiet and by returning to what he really is. You should pay a visit to the band’s official web-page…pretty cool too!
