Brother Firetribe

"Heart Full of Fire"

Label: Spinefarm

Another boring melodic rock band?..NOT in this case! First of all, this is actually a project of Nightwish guitarist Emppu Vuorinen and Leverage singer Pekka Ansio Heino. Finnish Brother Firetribe is a new band of high quality and many prospects of success without a doubt! “Heart Full of Fire”is their 2nd studio album and the quality of the songs is much better than their debut album. The mix of the new european melodic rock with 80s A.O.R. and FM rock, gives the album the necessary multi-dimensional character and keeps it away from anything dull or boring. Inspired compositions, melodic choruses, wonderful background vocals, a really good production, all elements of an album that stands out of the wave of melodic rock bands, an album that can easily be considered as equal or (even better) than bands like The Poodles, Wig Wam etc.

The album opens with "Who Will You Run To Now" which captures you at once while songs like "Game They Call Love", "Chasing Angels" (originally performed by Loverboy's Mike Reno for "Iron Eagle II" soundtrack) make this release a special one. The surprise of the album (and at the same time my personal favorite moment in it) is no other than the self-titled track “Heart Full of Fire”, an up-tempo catchy song performed as a duet with Nightwish’s singer Annete! At this specific point, the rest listening of the cd delayed a lot as “Heart Full of Fire” played over and over and over again!

In general, new Brother Firetribe’s album is really good and it’s obvious that it stands out of the rest melodic rock releases. It’s very pleasant and with a well cared production plus high quality songs. I am sure that worldwide melodic rock, A.O.R., FM rock fans will love this album simply because it is definitely a “Heart Full of Fire”!
