It’s been three years since the latest, fantastic release by Babylon Bombs titled “Doin’ You Nasty” and I always hoped that this band will go a step further. You can understand that my expectations are high. And fortunately, I was not mistaken…

I have to start this presentation with a note on the producer. Mr. Chris Laney is here once more (after the amazing “My Private Hell” by Steevi Jaimz, “Bring The Thunder” by Dynazty and more) and his contribution is  more than obvious. His experimentation has moved to new heights. For example, the first track of this album “Liberation” is an excellent hard rock specimen, accompanied by an orchestra that could play a James Bond movie. We will be talking about Mr. Laney very soon as we are waiting for the new Crazy Lixx album in 2010, where he produces again.

Back to the album again and the same titled cut rocks you hard with its dynamics and the beautiful choruses. Going on with “Resurrection Love” which shows the maturity of the band and the amount of work put on the arrangements. Right next comes “Nobody’s Home” sending us back to the Doin’ You Nasty album era with a sleaze dirt that is always a trademark for the band. And when you think that they will slow down eventually, they just keep on going!!! “Angel Eyes” and the party goes on, interrupted only for the “It’s Alright”, a cut that would be an easy anthem and a definite MTV hit back in the 80s. From this point forward and until the end of the album, the Bombs have no restraints. “Anywhere the Wind Blows”, “Winding Road”, “Rattle My Bones” are some of the fast, sleazy, rock ‘n roll, playful tracks that complete this project in absolute success.

It is obvious that the band has put some serious work to prepare some pretty commercial ideas and I believe that they succeed 100%. When you have Chris Laney on the helm, you can’t go wrong and you can achieve miracles!!!
