Soul Doctor
"Way Back To The Bone"
Label: Metal Heaven
German melodic rockers Soul Doctor are releasing their fifth album entitled “Way Back To The Bone” and their main goal is to become even bigger and more famous than the last years. With Tommy Heart (Fair Warning) on vocals as their trump card and with a good album, such a goal does not look impossible.
Soul Doctor have obviously a lot in common with Fair Warning without copying them, but also they are obviously influenced by classic groups such as Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake and Bad Company. Tommy Heart’s vocals definitely steal the show that takes the already good compositions to a higher level. The album consists of 10 very good melodic rock songs from which the opening track “First Man On The Moon”, the “Heartache Heartbreak” and the exceptional ballad “Times Of Yesterday” stand out. All members are experienced musicians and they all do their best in this album. The only negative thing about the album is that it misses 1-2 tracks that could work as singles in order to make the band’s popularity bigger.
This is a pretty good melodic hard rock record in all, that fans of the genre will definitely enjoy. |
