Chine come from Helsingborg, Sweden which means they are from Darkane’s hometown and two of those guys are responsible for the mix in “Repulsive Sonatas”. It’s a mini CD with six, new tracks and one of their demo.

The band has little to do with thrash or death metal that’s mentioned in their myspace and they are originated in mid-tempo groove metal. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything special in here with very average core type vocals and riffs heard more than thousands of times stuck with boring orchestrating ideas. Their production might be very good and the guys play ok –nothing extra ordinary- but they haven’t put one memorable song. The exception is their only quick song, still not interesting, “Shitkicker’s”.

“Repulsive Sonatas” includes neither sonatas nor repulsions. Most likely is too flat and ends up without anything noticeable, even for metalcore fans. We expect their next move.
