"What Horror Await"

Label: Napalm

The CD you read about doesn’t contain any form of surprise. Jungle Rot from Wisconsin, despite who escorts the two old members, Dave Matrise and James Genenz, remain totally devoted to their old school death metal. Think of Benediction or Six Feet Under or a more groovy version of Vader with a lot of beat downs that have nothing to do with hardcore.

Their sixth album consists again of mighty and ultra heavy, groovy guitar parts and drums. Dave Matrise’s voice hasn’t been affected by time (the band is active since 1994) while the production is amazing once more; all instruments can be heard perfectly. Highlights are Straightjacket Life”, “Speak The Truth”, “Atrocity”, “Black Candle Mass”.

If what you read sounded interesting don’t hesitate to check out What Horrors Await. It’s much better than the latest SFU e.g. and definitely the best Napalm release the last two years. And you know what? You might find yourself surprised
