Dreamtide is not a new group; it already has two releases in 2001 and 2003 respectively. Although it is the first time that I happen to hear their music, I admire the quality and maturity of it.

As I go reading through the band members I see: Olaf Senkbeil (vocals), C C Behrens (drums), Francis Buchholz (bass), Torsten Luederwaldt (keyboards) and Helge Engelke (guitars). I cannot pretend that I haven’t seen Francis Buchholz –former bassist of the Scorpions- and to be honest I was prepared to hear the same old style and riffs of the aforementioned band (no offence), you all know what I mean, but luckily for us I was wrong.

These musicians play their own music and they feel it! It is a mixture of melodic Hard Rock, with characterized melodic guitars, that are not afraid to show their “teeth”, when it is needed. Memorable couplets, fantastic production and in general fine performance.

“Download A Dream”, “Same Star”, “Your Beat”, “Stronger” and so it goes till the end, the one is different from the other and they don’t let you get bored not even for a moment. The majority of the tracks are a fine moment of A.O.R., while the listener can identify in times the influence of Journey. I emphasize to their style and sound since it gives them a competitive advantage against other European bands of their kind. This band has the experience to achieve their target, they have worked very hard and this is obvious.

Finally, there are some hopes for melodic rock, keep on (solid) rocking Dreamtide!!
