Crematory
"Infinity"
Label: Massacre Records
"Infinity" is the eleventh full album from Germans Crematory, who after 18 years in discography (their first release was the homonymous demo in 1992) continue to feed the metal scene with good work in a music genre where they are considered as "founders". It combines quite successfully, I must say, the power and intensity of death metal with the lyricism and atmosphere offered by their gothic influences. "Infinity" will satisfy all fans of Crematory because it contains all the elements that have established them and everybody loves about them. It contains 10 tracks with a total length just over 46 minutes with several variations in style and mood, but with no change as far as the typical "Crematory sound” is concerned. It is a very pleasant hearing, with the right - again - use of the keyboards, many interesting melodies and turns from the death growls of Gerhard "Felix" Strass to the clean vocals of guitarist Matthias Hechler. Exception, as far as the vocals, is the track "Broken Halo" which is a "break" from Felix’s voice, dressed with clean vocals only, at mid tempo speed, with a strong presence of keyboards that is general an alternative proposal from Crematory in the album. The album includes a cover of "Black Celebration" by Depeche Mode, featured in their "Black Celebration" album of 1986. "Infinity" consists of the tracks "Infinity", "Sense of Time", "Out of Mind", "Black Celebration", "Never Look Back", "Broken Halo", "Where Are You Now", "A Story About ... "," No One Knows "and" Auf der Flucht ". The album is released through Massacre Records and it is a goodchoice for fans of the group and the genre, but not only!
